18th February 2008
The HAC played host to a fabulous, prestigious industry awards night on the 18th February 2008. In the past, the words "hospitality" and "best places to work" haven't been natural bedfellows. But by launching the 2008 Best Places to Work in Hospitality Awards, Caterer and Hotelkeeper again aim to dispel the myth that hospitality is all about low wages, low skills and no prospects, and celebrate all that's best about working in the sector. The awards are in their third year and this year's overall deserved winner was – Hotel du Vin!
The Chester Boyd team excelled in delivery, presentation, quality and expectation!! Guests were dazzled with the contemporary, stylish and modern elements of the Prince Consort Rooms, which combine with the history of the Honourable Artillery Company – a venue of great character.
Following a champagne reception guests sat down to a unique and inspired menu of:
Salad of Ham Hock and Foie Gras, Green Tomato Chutney and Bitter Leaves
Pan-Fried Halibut, Oxtail and Celeriac Canneloni
Ginger Parkin, Toffee Ripple Ice Cream, Whisky Mac shot
‘Thank you so much for hosting the Best Places to Work in Hospitality dinner on Monday night. I thought the venue was superb, I loved the food and my table seemed to really enjoy themselves.
I do appreciate all the work and effort your team put in to making it a success and I am grateful for your support’.
